The Squatter

It is as if the the little fellow is posing just like you said. I like the way you've composed the subject within the frame. The bright green colours near the top provide the perfect backdrop for helping the subject stand out well. The lighting and flow of the image is really quite appealing.

The only part of this image that bothers me a little though is the leaf at the bottom. I can't help feeling that the image would have flowed better if it wasn't part of it and maybe cropped out. That or perhaps the colours of it slightly toned down. I say that because the image seems to go from light to dark to light and for me, my eyes are instantly drawn to that part at the bottom when I feel it should go straight to the insect.

All that said, it's a well taken photo with some fine details to be enjoyed!
